Beschreibung
Springbank launched its Millennium Series in 1998, one bottling every six months. Limited to 500 bottles worldwide, this edition immediately attracted collectors and Springbank aficionados. The complete series includes whiskies bottled at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years.
The Springbank distillery has been owned by the Mitchell family in Campbeltown since 1837 and is one of Scotland's most renowned distilleries. After a brief closure between 1979 and 1987, when it reopened it was decided to stop all sales to the blending industry and concentrate on selling single malts. Today it is the only distillery to malt, distil, bottle and mature whisky on the same site, producing three distinct and highly regarded single malts.
