Description

Who is Daisy Dodd-Noble and why invest in her?
(b. 1989) is a painter based in London, England. She graduated with a Master's in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art in TriBeCa, New York, in 2016.

Artistic Approach
She transitioned from political art to landscape while studying at the New York Academy of Art with Inka Essenhigh, the figurative painter known for her imaginative scenes. Overwhelmed at that time by the frenzy of Manhattan, Dodd-Noble found that drawing the city's trees had a stabilizing effect on her. Over time, she began to transpose them into invented environments, building saturated skies and population zero expanses around idealized versions of real trees she had encountered. Dodd-Noble's works feature caricatured versions of canonical landscape paintings. Through landscapes, she explores themes such as environmentalism and the human relationship with nature. Her bucolic, technicolor yet simple landscapes aim to raise awareness about environmental conservation. They have a dreamlike atmosphere thanks to her meticulous work in the use of color and light. The softness of the forms transports us to a world where innocence prevails.

Seeing the world through her eyes
She now resides in London and has since focused her vision on trees from her native country, the UK, Costa Rica, and southern France, where she recently completed a residency at Bloom Galerie. As much as Dodd-Noble's vibrant reproductions evoke a pre-anthropocene innocence, she sees them as expressions of self-awareness. "I'm definitely not trying to construct a new 'world,'" she said. "I am striving to deepen my own perception of the world around me... and then visually communicate my understanding of the nature of reality and the relationship between us and the world around us."

Exhibitions
Dodd-Noble had her first solo exhibition at Roman Road Gallery, Columbia Hotel (London, 2020). Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Stems Gallery, Ixelles (BEL, 2022); Roman Road Gallery, London (UK, 2022); G/A R T/E N, Como (IT, 2021); Unit Gallery, London (UK, 2021); Bowes-Parris Gallery, London (UK, 2021), and Tchotchke Gallery, New York (USA, 2020). Dodd-Noble has participated in the residency program at L21 Gallery (ES, 2021) where she held her solo exhibitions ""Grounded"" and "Origins" in 2022.

Auction Results
In 2023, Dodd-Noble achieved several successful auction results. Both the painting "Purple Forest" and "Two Pink Islands and One Green Island" exceeded the estimated price by +450% (after deducting buyer's fees). These strong results underline the potential of her works.
