Description
We present the most extraordinary whisky collection: The Macallan Six Pillars in Lalique collection. The set of six stunning crystal decanters contains six rare single malts from The Macallan, aged between 50 and 65 years.
The Macallan collaborated with French master crystal maker Lalique between 2005 and 2016 to release this unique and limited edition Six Pillars collection. Each bottle represents a pillar of the core values of the renowned distillery The Macallan.
We acquired a complete collection and will release it as an investment in five individual releases. The five investment opportunities have the same investment horizon, as it is highly likely that the collection will also be sold in its entirety rather than individually.

The first bottle, or pillar, was launched in 2005 and contains a 50-year-old whisky. Limited to 470 bottles, the first column celebrates the outstanding oak casks used by The Macallan to mature their whiskies. It is said that 60 to 80% of the so-called whisky profile comes from wood, which underlines the relevance. The Macallan is known for arguably the best cask management program. They already control the production of the casks, starting with the selection of the trees in the north of Spain, which are then processed. They also control the filling of the casks with sherry before they are used for the maturation of the whisky. The design of the crystal decanter is correspondingly reminiscent of the wooden structure.
The second pillar was released in 2007. The edition of 420 bottles is 50 bottles lower than the first column, and the whisky is five years older at 55 years. This edition represents the natural color of The Macallan whiskies. The distillery refrains from adding any color during production, and the liquid, therefore, always shows the color that was given off by the oak casks. The closure of the unique crystal bottle is a copy of Lalique's most famous perfume bottle. The amber color reflects the color of the Macallan whisky and is considered one of the most challenging colors to produce in glass production.
