Finally, in the ambitious scenario, we used 100% of the average annualised growth rate of the Acker fine wine Burgundy index over the past 19 years.
We will manage the exit strategy on behalf of our investors, ensuring the best possible outcome based on market conditions at the time. Depending on the prevailing market situation, the bottles will be sold to private collectors or offered as single lots at a wine auction. An auction is considered if the price has developed to the point where the minimum bid matches the market value and there is high demand for these bottles. Both options are carefully considered, and we will choose the one that maximizes the return for our investors.
Rare wine has fascinated investors for centuries. Lifelong experience in this field is of great importance. Investing in wine is very complex, but done right, it can prove to be a very lucrative business. Over the past three decades, fine wine has demonstrated itself to be one of the top-performing assets, achieving a remarkable compound annual growth rate of 10%.
Domaine d’Auvenay’s Bonnes Mares 2014 is a collector’s dream—both because of what it is, and who is behind it. Lalou Bize-Leroy, a towering figure in Burgundy, channels her unmatched winemaking expertise into this estate, producing wines that are the embodiment of finesse, terroir, and aging potential. Bonnes Mares is one of Burgundy’s greatest Grand Cru vineyards, and Domaine d’Auvenay’s version is among its most mythical expressions.
Only 1,191 bottles were produced for this vintage, and even fewer remain. Unlike more commercially available wines, d’Auvenay’s releases are rarely resold. As Vinous critic Neal Martin notes, “Most of us have more chance of spotting a yeti dining with a dodo… than drinking a wine from Domaine d’Auvenay.” The scarcity is compounded by its packaging—this offer includes three bottles in their original wooden case (OWC3), which is highly prized by connoisseurs.
Further enhancing its rarity is the fact that Madame Bize-Leroy, well into her later years, still oversees both the vineyard and cellar. There will come a time when her irreplaceable craftsmanship ceases, elevating every bottle made under her hands into vinous legend.
With zero recorded trades on Liv-ex since 2019 and the lowest offer today standing at nearly €8,325 per bottle, it’s evident this asset doesn’t just hold potential—it’s already outperforming. It’s a ghost bottle in the open market, a blue-chip wine with built-in scarcity, history, and provenance.
Owning Domaine d’Auvenay Bonnes Mares is not just about wine; it’s about possessing a disappearing piece of Burgundy’s cultural and viticultural identity.
The 2014 Bonnes Mares arrives from a vintage praised for balance and precision—classic Burgundy at its best. Nearly a decade old, it’s entering a prime drinking window, yet most collectors will cellar it further. In today’s climate of rising global wine demand and finite Grand Cru output, owning d’Auvenay’s Bonnes Mares 2014 means securing a slice of Burgundy’s golden era before Lalou Bize-Leroy’s irreplaceable legacy becomes history.
The 2014 Domaine d’Auvenay Bonnes Mares is a rare convergence of artistry, scarcity, and legacy. With demand far exceeding supply, elite provenance, and aging potential still ahead, it’s a true trophy asset. This is Burgundy at its most exclusive—a tangible, cellar-worthy expression of wine history ready to appreciate.
