Scotch Whisky Cask - Blair Athol 2010
Main reasons to invest
Dechar / Rechar barrels have a positive effect on the maturation process and can be used for so-called "small batch releases", which fetch higher prices.
Blair Athol Single Malt is often bottled after 12 years. In 5 to 7 years our cask is above the average age.
The cask has another special feature: The alcohol volume percentages of >58% after almost 12 years of maturity shows that the liquid is of great quality.
Description
The cask has already matured for 11 years and comes from the renowned Blair Athol in the Scottish Highlands. What makes it special is that it is a so-called "dechar/rechar hogshead", which means that the cask was not simply refilled, but first planed and burnt out.
