Description

Who is Arita Mitsuhiro?
Arita Mitsuhiro has been with Pokémon since the beginning and has drawn various Pokémon as well as 6 of the 7 Energy cards. He also created graphics for the Ranger Strike Card Game and Final Fantasy XI, among others. His drawing style has evolved dramatically over time. Initially, his artwork resembled watercolors or pastels with clear outlines, but he has now developed a more fluid style that emphasizes bright colors. By skillfully using light and shadow, he aims to create particularly dynamic and realistic images. In each piece, he strives to realistically highlight the characteristics of each Pokémon without considering previous artistic attempts. In some older cards, when the corresponding video games were not yet graphically detailed, his drawings significantly contributed to the overall design of the Pokémon. His art can be seen on more than 500 cards, including some of the most memorable in the game's history, such as the famous Charizard.

The Legacy of Charizard and Why This Card
Anyone involved in the world of Pokémon is sure to encounter Charizard sooner or later. Charizard has been around since the first generation of Pokémon video games and was Ash's first fully-evolved Pokémon in the anime series, although it often did not listen to him.

Charizard in the Pokémon TCG
Charizard appears on many Pokémon cards, some of which are traded at high prices. Charizard is a Fire/Flying type Pokémon, not a Dragon type as one might initially think. However, its type combination changes with Mega Evolution to Fire/Dragon (Mega Charizard X). Charizard is one of the most popular Pokémon among fans, not only for its majestic design but also for its competitive value in the Trading Card Game.

The Rarity and Significance of Charizard Cards
We are talking about the most famous Pokémon card since Pokémon came into existence. Everyone knows Charizard, and every expert knows that a 1st edition is becoming increasingly rare. Arita Mitsuhiro is one of the most famous illustrators of Pokémon cards. So we have the most famous card and the most famous illustrator combined in a unique masterpiece. Additionally, the illustrator is no longer the youngest and will soon stop giving autograph sessions, making the cards even rarer. This card has also been signed in 3 different colors, something the artist normally never does.
