What are the fees or costs associated with using Splint Invest?

At Splint Invest, we believe in transparency when it comes to fees. We want our users to fully understand the costs involved in using our platform, so there are no surprises down the line. Below is a breakdown of the fees you might encounter while investing with us.

Platform Fee (Transaction Fee)

Whenever you make an investment on Splint Invest, there is a platform fee, which ranges between 4% to 6% of the investment amount. This fee is clearly highlighted in the app before you finalize your investment, ensuring that you are fully aware of the cost.

  • Purpose: The platform fee helps to finance the various services and processes we offer, including asset sourcing, verification, and overall platform maintenance.
  • Transparency: We are committed to being upfront about this fee. It’s displayed clearly before you confirm any transaction, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Variable Costs for Storage and Insurance

As an investor in tangible assets, such as art, wine, or luxury items, there are associated costs for storage and insurance. These are essential to maintaining the value of the assets over time.

  • Inclusion in Investment Amount: The costs for storage and insurance are included in your initial investment amount. This means that there are no recurring fees for you to worry about throughout the duration of your investment.
  • Variable Costs: These costs are variable, meaning they can fluctuate over time based on market conditions.
  • Adjustments at Exit: If we secure lower costs for storage and insurance during the investment period, we will refund the difference to your account at the time of exit. Conversely, if costs increase, any additional charges will be deducted from your account at exit.
  • No Surprises: We strive to manage these costs as efficiently as possible and keep our investors informed of any significant changes.

Exit Fee

When you decide to exit an investment, there is an exit fee of 2%. This fee applies whether you are selling your asset back through the primary market or using our secondary market.

  • Purpose: The exit fee covers the services we provide during the sale process, including finding buyers, handling the transaction, and ensuring a smooth exit for you.
  • Secondary Market Selling Fee: If you sell your investment on the secondary market, there is an additional 2% selling fee. This fee is also used to cover the services we provide, including facilitating the sale and ensuring the Splints are properly transferred to the new owner.
  • All-Inclusive: These fees are designed to be all-inclusive, covering everything from administrative costs to the profit margins necessary to sustain our platform and continue offering our services.

Summary of Fees

  • Platform Fee (Transaction Fee): 4-6% on each investment.
  • Variable Costs for Storage and Insurance: Included in the investment amount; adjustments made at exit.
  • Exit Fee: 2% at exit.
  • Selling Fee (Secondary Market): 2% on secondary market sales.

Why do we charge these fees?

These fees are essential to maintaining the high level of service that Splint Invest offers. They help cover the costs of asset acquisition, verification, storage, insurance, platform development, customer support, and more. Additionally, they enable us to provide you with a secure, user-friendly platform where you can confidently invest in alternative assets.

We aim to keep our fees competitive while ensuring that they are clearly communicated to our users. By understanding these fees upfront, you can make more informed investment decisions and better plan your financial strategies.

Splint Invest aims to keep fees as transparent and competitive as possible. All fees are clearly stated upfront, so there are no surprises. This transparency helps you make informed decisions about your investments and understand how fees might impact your overall returns.
